Hey baby, wanna see my coin collection?
Last night, Petunia brought me the new Nevada quarter. YES, I'm still collecting state quarters, and YES, I'm a wicked tool. Adding to my nerd appeal, I keep these quarters in a tiny vinyl quarter collection book I got at the Denver Mint. The whole quarter collection thing is v. satisfying since it appeals to my Type A tendencies, plus the vinyl book itself smells pleasingly like a circa 1983 My Little Pony. Lovely!

Ok, ultra-nerd, all teasing about the coin collecting aside, why do you know what a circa 1989 My Little Pony smells like? I thought you didn't like that stuff and you always oppressed me for being the girl who liked unicorns and ponies and the color lavender, etc.
I want to know more about this. By the way, I once blew all my birthday money, which was like $50, on My Little Pony crap. If I had just put that in a savings account I think I'd have like eight thousand dollars now. Stupid 9 year old Jenn.
1. 1983, not 1989!
2. I loved My Little Ponies because of the hair factor. I also had Barbies and couple of tiny mermaid dolls, and my v. favorite thing was brushing and braiding their hair. It wasn't about the unicorn/horse/pony factor at all.
3. I just got a GREAT idea for your birthday present, though!
OK, sorry, I messed up the years... of course 1989 is an unacceptable time for either of us to be playing with My Little Pony. 1983 is more like it. Sorry!
Also, I'm scared about my birthday present.
