I heart Mr. Snowblower

A note about my neighborhood: it doesn't look like much, but it's a great place to call home. We got a foot of snow this morning, and right now my sidewalks are completely clear thanks to my neighbor A. and his handy dandy snowblower. When we bought this house a year and a half ago, A. introduced himself and told us, "Now when it snows, I'll take care of your sidewalks. I've been doing it for years, and I'm happy to do it." Talk about a good neighbor!

snow! This storm just gave us in the city some ice last night, and mostly rain.

Petunia is very lucky to have someone to shovel for her in the wee hours of the morning.

It snowed like crazy here this morning for a while but it was all very wet and now just slush is coming down making the whole city a nasty slushy mess. Yuck. As soon as it's cold enough of course, it will all freeze.

I don't know what the number is all about, but it's a link to a blog, so I don't get it. Maybe you're supposed to call it. Maybe it's a joke.

Okay, regarding the number that Alex posted, PLEASE don't tell me you're all too young to know the song! 867-5309 (Jenny) is an awesome song that I still love. Gotta love the 80s!

of course we know that song. i admit i didn't connect the dude's number to the song, though--i was too busy being wierded out that someone i didn't know responded to my blog.

It's OK to have strangers post to your blog, silly. Also, I didn't make the connection because I stopped reading the number once I saw it was 800. I didn't even notice what the rest was.
