Introducing Ms. Stork!

We just got a call from the social worker who will be doing our homestudy!!! The good news: she's the good one! No more Ol' Talkie for us; from now on we'll be dealing exclusively with Ms. Stork! HOORAY!

Our 1st homestudy visit is next Tuesday at 6pm. Holy shit! Let the cleaning and home improvement projects begin!

I'M SO EXCITED!

I am so thrilled it is not Old Talkie. But i am also thrilled it is Ms. Stork. After spending the 3 hours each week for 8 weeks with her, I feel she is someone who understands our family and would be an advocate and a resource. Congratulations my sweet!!

Oh I didn't get it that she was the other person at the thing I went to. She was, right? The one who wasn't Ol' Talkie? I thought you were going to have someone in Worcester. I'm dumb like that.

She's the other social worker you met, Jane--she came up and introduced herself to you, L&L during the F&F Day presentation. She's nice, no? At least she seems to be; maybe she'll hate our home and think we're unfit to be parents. So far, so good, though!

I'm sure she will do no such thing (hate your home and deem you unfit to parent), that's silly.

She seemed very nice. Good for you!

I'm sure you will be awesome parents! And for goodness sakes, if you do in-home childcare, your home is going to pass muster for adoption!

Best of luck to you...

You guys are very nice. This homestudy stuff is nervewracking, though! I think the first one will be the scariest to anticipate, since we don't know what to expect. We'r not worried that we'll fail the homestudy or anything; we just want to make a good impression, you know?

Thanks for your votes of confidence!
